HISTORIC DOWNIEVILLE
ANTIQUE BOTTLES & COLLECTIBLES SHOW 2011
Oh, those glorious Gold Rush days! What better place to host a Bottle Show featuring Gold Rush bottles and memorabilia than Downieville - one of the original Forty-Niners mining camps. You won't want to miss this show! In addition to great items for sale, there will be a variety of fabulous displays of rare early Western bottles.
The 2011 Downieville Antique Bottles & Collectibles Show is Saturday, September 10th and will be held in the Downieville School Gym, a large modern facility with good lighting and lots of room for dealers to display. The gym is located in the heart of town. Just park and walk all over the quaint little historic Gold Rush town. Show opens to "Early Lookers" at 8:00 a.m. for a $10 admission and is free after 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. There will be a full breakfast and lunch as well as snacks throughout the day for a small charge.
Dealer registration includes a pre-show BBQ dinner and wine tasting on Friday evening. The special wine tasting event, a big hit from the past years will be featured at the BBQ. Historic wines will be provided by Will & Jean Clark, owners of "49 Wines & Wine Bar" in Downieville. Please join us for a memorable evening together with friends, food and some great bottle collecting stories.
We urge you to make early motel reservations and when you do, please mention you are here for the Bottle Show. Downieville is a small town and the motels fill up quickly durning the beautiful Autumn weekends. If you need help or suggestions about available lodging, please call Rick or Cherry at (530)289-3659 or e-mail: ricksimi@att.net.
We look forward to seeing you and hope to include you in the show. Please send your registration with payment ASAP, and remember to make your motel reservations early.
